You have to be quick thinking, just one wrong move or one wrong turn and it can be fatal
Originally founded in France and using movements that were developed from military obstacle course training, Parkour also known as Freerunning is rapidly gaining popularity around the world and especially in America. It is also considered to be a very dangerous extreme sport and requires high levels of fitness and discipline.
The aim is to get from point A to point B in the quickest way possible. It encompasses several skills into one fluid set of movements, running, jumping, rolling, vaulting, swinging and climbing and any other movement that is considered suitable for any specific situation.
This extreme sport (although many practitioners consider Parkour to be a discipline and not a sport) is not for the faint hearted, for one thing you have to be oblivious to heights and serious injuries and fatalities do happen.
The training is incredibly intensive and much of it is performed in real life situations. One thing above all else, you have to be quick thinking, just one wrong move or one wrong turn and it can be fatal…
